Workshop Stage
Each year the Ogden Music Festival provides exciting opportunities for experienced as well as aspiring musicians to learn from our performers at the Workshop Stage.
Workshops, a tradition since the first OFOAM Festival, provide an intimate environment to get a closer look at the main-stage performers, their instruments and techniques. Learn from the unique collaborations of festival artists about band dynamics for all ages, instrument playing, songwriting, vocals or just see and hear more of your favorite band.

12:15 From Havana to New Orleans: Primera Linea, a Cuban Youth Band is Born
Cuban music students, part of a 2023 cultural exchange to New Orleans led by Cimafunk and Trombone Shorty, returned to Havana and formed Primera Linea ("First Line"). Inspired by their experience shadowing the artists, they blended Cuban and New Orleans sounds, developing a dynamic live show. Named for being the first from their neighborhood to learn New Orleans' second line, Primera Linea quickly rose to play major Cuban venues and now tours the U.S. They will perform music from their upcoming debut album and share their journey from Havana to places like Utah.
