Miko Marks

The Wall Street Journal has described it as a “genre and industry-defying mission.” NPR declared it a “multilayered experience.” The New York Times commended the movement as carving out a new path in country music. All tell the story of Miko Marks’ resurgence as she deftly blends country, blues, southern rock, and gospel to create a sound and experience that brings audiences to their feet. This sound, along with her warm and soulful spirit, has catapulted her into a community of change where she is doing more than breaking ground—she is shattering it.

Following the release of her critically acclaimed album Our Country (2021) and the EP Race Records, which shined a light on the arbitrary divisions in music marketing, her impact was immediate: her music became the #1 add on Americana Radio. In 2022, she was named to CMT’s "Next Women of Country" class and selected for the inaugural Equal Access Development Program.

The momentum from her acclaimed albums established her as a major force on the live circuit. Marks has since graced the stages of premier festivals, including Stagecoach 2024, Hinterland, Red Wing Roots, The Greenriver Fest, Freshgrass, Ravinia, and the 2023 Ogden Music Festival. This success culminated in the release of her defining album, Feel Like Going Home.

Feel Like Going Home is an amalgamation of where Marks has been and where she is going. The lyrics of the title track—“Rest for the wanderer who never more shall roam”—ring true for Marks today. No longer a wanderer, she has reclaimed her roots and returned to her true self. Now, standing firmly in her power in 2025, Marks has proven that her return was not just a moment, but a movement.
